Poznan- an historical city
A slower day today to recuperate from the half marathon.
A tram ride took me to the historical town centre. A big feature in the old town square is the town hall and its famous clock.
At 12 mid day two goats appear above the clock and butt each other 12 times.
The story behind this is here, if you're interested:

Needless to say, I was one of a crowd of about 200 to watch the spectacle, including 2 groups of school children, who counted the butts from 1 to 12.
An audio guided walk took me across the river to Poland's oldest cathedral (13th century) and its environs to learn a little of the history of the city
There were the usual stories of building defences against marauding invaders, and the infighting between various traders within the town. The cathedral is the final resting place of the first 9 monarchs of Poland, along with all the archbishops from 950 to the present day.
I ran out of steam early today, so am resting before setting off to my next destination - Wroclaw- tomorrow.
with your goats and my trolls I reckon we have the basis of a pretty good story!
